Why Boudicca?

The story of Britain's OG warrior queen isn't widely known. So, to very briefly summarise it - Boudicca was an Iceni queen circa AD60 who led the then warring tribes of East Anglia to fight together in an attempt to overthrow Roman occupation. 

She very nearly did it too, completely destroying Colchester (then the capital), London and St Albans. The Romans did what they did best however, and eventually won. But not before her antics gained her legendary status.

As well as being a badass, feminist inspiration, there's some common themes to Boudicca that suit my style, and which I think are pretty useful in marketing consulting

Whilst I've spent nearly the last 15 years in recruitment, I cut my teeth in travel, which provided invaluable exposure to B2C marketing, especially branding and customer-centricity.

I decided to specialise in B2B marketing because I love people - relationships, customers, working with sales people; I revel in the human and complex nature of marketing services.

In the recruitment industry, I've gone from global corporate, to boutique established brand, to a fast-scaling specialist business. All the while honing my leadership, communication and a revenue-focussed mindset.
